i think it looks great so far! something that might help a little is maybe picking a more straightforward and streamlined font for that little blurb on the bottom (dafonts.com is a really great free-for-personal-use font website), and maybe thinking about adding a dark blue stroke to the "michelle and deborah" line, rather than a drop shadow. i'm not sure, but that might be all you need to simplify the design enough to make the business drop away a little. hope that's helpful! :) i love the font you used at the top, and on the numbers to bits! and i'm really digging the sense of humor and fun!
Things to try: put "November" and "2010" straight. Make all the other numbers smaller, there will be more space between them. Erase "Tahts' November 21, 2010 formal invitation to follow" because everyone already knows that info. This won't help with busy-ness, but consider punctuating the batman theme with one more visual cue. It took me a minute to realize that the circles are spotlights which is totally genius, but too subtle for some doofs, like me :)
i agree its a bit busy. i would take out the bottom blurb, make the other november biggerand change its locationas well as the 2010,i would also bring more of a pattern and geometry into the placement of the cirlces and numbers(you change put a grid on the psd file for the proces) and change the calender font. i am very opinionated apperntly. if you want anyhelp id love to play in photoshop with you
I'm currently planning a big ol' lesbian wedding an small conservative town in TX. I like cookies, Discovery Channel's shark week, and anything that makes me laugh. You can email me at toeacherown at gmail dot com.
